Video Editor/Graphic Artist
Atomic Games is looking for a Video Editor/Graphic Artist to produce and edit videos and create user interfaces for a highly anticipated historically themed military shooter.
We need someone with a diverse editing background who has a demonstrated body of work that shows the successful delivery of innovative video, motion graphics, and/or graphic design. Must provide link to online reel and portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Capture, edit, and produce in-game video footage.
Create innovative motion graphics sequences in After Effects.
Import, export, and convert audio, graphics, and video.
Compress video into digital and DVD authoring formats.
Organize, archive, and maintain a footage library.
Make recommendations regarding editing design.
Ensure continuity and quality of all projects before they are released.
Execute backups of media files.
Complete cabling and installation of video equipment.
Create UI elements consistent with visual direction of the project as defined by Art Director and Senior Producer.
Work closely with UI programming team to implement all aspects of user interface into game engine.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years experience as a video editor with sound/design production, motion graphics, photography, and videography skills.
Degree in film production, art, or graphic design.
Excellent understanding of video resolutions, frame rates, pulldowns, and all types of signals used in post-production.
Strong working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, ProTools, and Flash.
Strong understanding of image and video file formats (dpx, mxf, mov, wmv, mp4, etc.).
Good sense of timing, an understanding of editing aesthetics, and a great eye for graphic design.
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Ability to cope with the pressure of our busy, deadline driven industry.
Must be extremely detail oriented.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Previous experience designing user interfaces required.
Proficiency with Windows and Mac platforms.
Ability to take direction and constructive feedback in a positive manner and work in a highly collaborative team environment.
Passion for making and playing videogames.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Legal U.S. work authorization required.
HELPFUL:
Experience with Maya, Cinema 4D, Flame, or 3ds Max.
Animatics and storyboarding experience.
Understanding of various Plug-Ins for After Effects.
Camera operation, lighting or other production skills.
Basic network troubleshooting skills.
Shipped game titles.
